Meet Our Board of Directors

  • Nathan Choi

Nathan is a Korean adoptee, advocate, community builder, and storyteller dedicated to strengthening connections within the adoptee community. As the Founder and Chairperson of ADAPT, he works to create opportunities for adoptees to find belonging, explore identity, engage with their cultures of origin, and build meaningful relationships with one another.

  • Gianna Peterson

Gianna volunteers with Asia Families where she assists with their Korean Culture School. She also participated in their inaugural Korea Dream Tour in 2026, where she had the opportunity to meet her birth mother, an experience that has forever changed her. She joined the ADAPT board because all adoptees deserve the chance to connect with not only these deeply meaningful experiences, but also with other adoptees.

  • Kari Gaynor

Kari has served on the board of advocacy groups like United States Korean Rights Group and volunteered with adoptee non-profits like GraftingHope.org. Meeting like-minded adoptees working to build communities and create change has inspired her to join ADAPT and help others connect to the things she wishes she had earlier in her journey.
